Yesterday evening, 14 October, the National Planetarium was blessed with a visit from Science Kids group of the National Science Center (PSN). The enthusiastic crowd of about 80 students ranging from standard 6 to form 2 arrived at around 6PM for a very rare opportunity of being one of the first to experience our new digital system that will be available to the public this Sunday. They were entertained with 2 of our latest films, Dawn of the Space Age and Passport to the Universe. They even got to experience a live lecture, going through the universe with our special guest, Martin from SkySkan, which is here to teach us all about the newly installed system. At the end of the entire show, we had a small quiz session where we handed out gifts to those who are able to answer questions related to the shows they just watched. In conjunction with the Moon Week Celebration organized by the National Space Agency (ANGKASA) from 21 July to 31 August 2009, a number of attractive activities are being conducted for public, adults and children below 12 years. Activities such as the Moon Phase Exploration, Poster Drawing Competition “Our Universe-Great Discoveries” and Jupiter and Its Moon Observation have organized for children below 12 years old, adults and public on 15 August 2009. |
