NATIONAL PLANETARIUM OBSERVATORY

 

National Planetarium Observatory is located at Lake Garden, Kuala Lumpur with latitude 3o9’ and longitude 101o41’E.  It is 112m above sea level.

 

Equipped with primary 35cm Celestron C-14 robotic telescope sitting on Paramount ME German Equatorial Robotic Mount in the 5m main dome which will be used as for space science education purpose.  Research in photometry, astrometry, CCD imaging, astrophotography and sun observation also available.

 

The observatory is also equipped with an automated weather station, cloud, rain sensor and all sky camera to monitor the climate condition.  All system is fully robotic.
